What moves watches prices
Watch prices on eBay hinge on four things: reference number, whether box and papers are included, service history, and dial condition. A full set (box, papers, hang tags) routinely clears 10 to 20 percent more than a head-only watch. Sellers who list without the reference number or with stock photos price lower and sell slower, which is where the under-market listings come from. On anything over a thousand dollars, eBay Authenticity Guarantee applies and the listing photos are the authoritative record of condition.
How to read this
The median is the middle asking price of live Buy It Now listings for this exact search, so it reflects what sellers are asking today, not what buyers paid last month. Use the 25th percentile as a realistic quick-sale price and the 75th as a patient-seller price. Anything listed well under the 25th percentile is worth checking for condition, completeness, and seller feedback before you buy.
